The team at Wild Birds Unlimited feels strongly that community involvement is an important part of our business.  We want to spread the joy of birdfeeding whenever and wherever we can and strive always to be the experts in the hobby of backyard bird feeding!   Our staff is trained to help answer questions and guide long time hobbyists, or those new to bird feeding, to the very best products for their yard.  Get out and watch the birds!  It's good for mind, body, and soul and below are some great places in our area to enjoy birds every day!

-Aldridge Gardens in Hoover - Wild Birds Unlimited has donated several feeding stations that are placed around the gardens for great bird watching all year!  We have also placed mutlple nesting boxes throughout the gardens to enjoy during nesting season.

-Alabama Wildlife Center at Oak Mountain State Park - A wonderful place to enjoy the wild birds and the birds that reside at AWC due to injuries that don't allow them to return to nature.  Wild Birds Unlimited donated the pollinator garden that allows great bird and butterfly watching!

-The wetlands behind our Tattersall Park store is rich with bird watching opportunities!  We have even documented a couple of rare birds there!

-Ebenezer Swamp - located near the University of Montevallo, this swamp hosts numerous unique species and is a habitat for many birds, including Pileated and Red Headed Woodpeckers.  It's especially great during bird migration in Spring and Fall.

-Limestone Park - Located in Alabaster, this park is roughly 100 acres and boasts locally rare habitats like a Water Tupelo swamp, that attract many species of birds and other wildlife,  Anghinas and Tree Swallows are known to nest here which is rare in the state of Alabama.  Great bird watching and photography opportunities can be found here.

-Moss Rock Preserve - Located in Hoover, this special place is home to 2 waterfall, a boulder field, and a rare variant of Little River Sandstone Glade that hosts rare plants.  A great place for bird watching and hiking!

-Participate in guided nature walks and birding trips presented by The Alabama Audubon Society.  Find all the info at alaudubon.org
